The Briton Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), fourth on Sunday in the Brazilian Grand Prix after leaving from the street of garages, said during the race has had “so much pace” that would have achieved “an easy victory.”
“I had a great time, I enjoyed the race a lot, today I had so much pace that it would have been an easy victory this weekend,” said the Englishman, who has already been world champion for the fourth time in his career.
“On the one hand I am disappointed to have put myself in the worst position for the race, but yesterday it was over, today was very positive, I had a great time, I felt like in the days of karting, when I always started from behind in my first or second year, “he added.
“My goal was to try to redeem Saturday’s mistake, make the team feel proud and recover some points, I tried to reach the third position, but in the end I ran out of tires,” he explained.
“But I enjoyed the battle and I hope this continues to show everyone that I still have a lot of fire in my heart and many, many more races ahead,” he said.
